Religious ascetics, occult rebels, and philosophic monks, the sadhus are the holy men and women who dot the many Hindu temples of South Asia with their colorful flare and deep devotion. In search of spiritual enlightenment, they live austerely on donations from others, focusing only on their goal of being one with the Absolute, conjoined with the Cosmic Consciousness. This is a collection of portraits of the sadhus in and around Hindu temples and crematory grounds of the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal.
